• The Holy Bible as the inspired word of God.
• The one and only true God who is our Heavenly Father, the maker and ruler of all things.
• Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who became flesh and dwelt among humankind; proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom of God; died on the cross to save us from Divine wrath and eternal damnation; rose from the dead; ascended to the Right Hand of God, the Father; and is coming again to receive us unto himself to reign with him eternally.
• The Holy Spirit who is God, convicting, guiding, comforting, and empowering us; and who is our assurance of eternal salvation.
• The Church as the Body of Christ, the fellowship of the redeemed, bearing witness to good news of Jesus Christ.
• The absolutely necessity of humans to be regenerated/born again through the power of the Holy Spirit with confession of faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and redemption from our sinfulness and alienation from God.

About Our Pastor:

Pastor William Monroe Campbell is a native of Los Angeles. He grew up in  the Palm Lane Housing Projects that was located on the site now occupied by the Martin Luther King Jr./Charles R. Drew Medical Center. He attended the public schools of Compton and Los Angeles and is a graduate of Virginia Union University of Richmond, VA and of the American Baptist Seminary of the West of Berkeley, CA. He has served Mount Gilead since August 2001.

He and his wife, Marilyn Campbell, are the parents of three adult children. They are two people who love Jesus Christ, the church, the community and humankind.
